Our Garden eels Video on local TV

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A GOPRO FALLS ON THE OCEAN FLOOR ?

A few weeks ago, we had the idea to put a camera on the bottom of the ocean to see what would happen. We had the luck then to capture the incredible dance of the garden eels moving into the current to feed on plankton. A common species on the sandy outer reefs of Moorea but very unknown to the general public because of its fearful nature. At the slightest warning, these heterocongres disappear in their burrow. The only way to film them was to put a fixed camera and wait patiently on the surface!

The video was noticed by journalists from Polynesian TV channels who quickly made a news article and broadcast this video on TV. Our goal of informing the general public is therefore fulfilled!
